Traders Proxy cookie policy
In plain English
This website’s own code sets no cookies and loads no third-party trackers, and our own analytics is switched off. The chat assistant sets one strictly necessary cookie, axv, once you send it a message. The network that delivers the site can add a security cookie, a bot-check script and a script that measures page loads. Your theme choice and a few other small entries sit in your browser’s own storage. Your dashboard is separate and sets cookies of its own, such as the one that keeps you signed in.
Does this website set cookies?
This website’s own code sets none. Our code loads every script, font and image from this site’s own address, so it brings in no other company’s advertising tracker. The one cookie tied to this site is axv, which our support assistant sets only after you send it a message.
Cloudflare, the network that delivers this website and our dashboard, can add a bot-check script and the cf_clearance security cookie when a challenge is triggered. The cookie records that your browser passed the security check. Cloudflare can also load its cookieless Web Analytics beacon to measure page-load performance.
What does the site keep in my browser?
A few small entries in your browser’s own storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). Your browser doesn’t send them with each page request, as it would a cookie.
| Entry | What it holds | When it is written | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|---|
tp-theme | Your theme choice, Light or Dark | When you press the theme switch | Until you clear this site’s data |
tp-exit-shown | A marker that the site has shown you its prompt once | When the site shows you that prompt | Until you close the tab |
tp-cta-clicked | A marker that you used one of the site’s main buttons | When you click a main button, or a link to checkout or your dashboard | Until you close the tab |
tp-checkout-return | A marker that you came back from checkout or your dashboard | When you arrive from checkout, your dashboard or Stripe | Until you close the tab |
tp-gs | Your Get started answers (email, plan, platform, cities and setup ticks), so a reload keeps them. Never your password. | As you fill in Get started | Until you close the tab |
tp-gs-token | The one-time setup link from checkout, while you set your password | When you arrive from checkout with that link | Until you close the tab |
tp-utm | Campaign tags, labels in the link that brought you here, saying which advert or post it came from | When you arrive by a link with campaign tags, and only once our analytics is switched on. Never with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control on. | Until you close the tab |
tp-check | Your two stopwatch times from the connection check, two numbers, nothing else | When you stop either stopwatch on that page | Until you clear this site’s data |
__tp-probe | A test that your browser’s storage works | On pages that can show the prompt. It is removed straight away. | Moments |
The prompt is a small card or dialog that suggests a next step, such as an offer or a test you can run yourself. The entries tp-cta-clicked and tp-checkout-return stop it from showing once you have acted.
Does the chat assistant set a cookie?
Yes, one, and only after you send Axel, our support assistant, your first message. Opening the chat sets nothing.
Does the site use analytics?
Not of our own, today. Our analytics is built into the site and switched off. No analytics script of ours loads, no request is sent and nothing is stored.
It is built for a service that uses no cookies, with one script loaded from one address. Switched on, it would count page views and actions, such as a button click. It would also keep the campaign tags listed in the table until you close the tab, and add them to checkout and dashboard links.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are two browser privacy settings. With either one on, your browser gets no analytics script from us and sends no events.
Cloudflare’s measuring script, described above, is separate from ours.
Which cookies does my dashboard set?
Your dashboard is a separate site, and it sets strictly necessary security and session cookies. None is used for advertising. Cloudflare’s security cookie can appear there too.
When you create a free Try account on this website, your dashboard signs you in straight away and sets the same cookies. Each one is limited to the dashboard’s own pages, can’t be read by scripts on the page and is sent only over a secure connection.
What about checkout?
Checkout runs on Stripe’s own pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there, under the Stripe cookies policy.
How do I clear or block them?
To remove this website’s entries, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks storage, the site still works. A theme choice lasts for that page, and no prompt is shown.
Signing out of your dashboard clears the first four cookies in its table. Block the dashboard’s cookies in your browser and you can’t sign in.
Where can I read more or ask a question?
The privacy policy covers the personal data we hold, and the terms of service cover the service. Traders Proxy is run by Traders Proxy (operated by Jonathan, Brisbane, Australia). Questions go to support, ask on the contact page. [email protected] receives legal notices only. It doesn’t reply.
